Five head to head pages, each one read from the rival's own site and dated so you can see when. They lead with what the other product does better, because three of these five are the right answer for somebody and a comparison where the author wins every row is one nobody should believe.
One free product, TickerScribe, already chains rolls, handles assignments and recognises cash settled index roots. Getting the lifecycle right is the ante here, not the pitch, and any journal that still books an assigned put as a closing buy at zero is simply behind.
Across fifteen products checked on 2026-09-06, no journal has Form 8949, a Section 1256 split, a wash sale engine or a TurboTax export. That work lives only in dedicated tax software you buy separately, on top of your journal.
Every product sells win rate, profit factor and composite scores as single figures. None of them says that a 60% win rate over fifty trades on ten days is indistinguishable from a coin flip, which it is.

| Tradervue | The oldest journal here, and the one where expired options are still fixed by hand. | Silver $29.95, Gold $49.95 a month |
| TradeZella | The strongest brand in the category, and an options page whose feature list never mentions options. | Essential $35, Pro $59, Ultra $99 a month |
| TradeLog | The only product in our audit that actually solves the tax problem, and it is not a journal. | $219 to $459 the first year, renewals from $175 |
Stated here rather than left for you to discover. We read five brokers, tastytrade, IBKR, Schwab, Robinhood and thinkorswim. There is no mobile app and there will not be one. We do not carry a disallowed wash sale loss into next year's basis yet, and the worksheet says so on the page rather than in a footnote. We have no backtester, no replay, no trade sharing and no community. The product shipped in September 2026 and has no track record to show you.
Tax output from the same events as the journal: Section 1256 against Form 8949, split by underlying. A 95% interval on every estimate, resampled by trading SESSION rather than by trade, and refused outright below five sessions. And, for SPX, SPXW and XSP, the dealer positioning at the minute of your fill, from a public archive of every session back to April 2022 that anyone can fetch and check.
Every claim about another product on these pages was read from that product's own site or documentation on 2026-09-06. Products ship changes; if something here is out of date, it is out of date, and the date is printed so you can tell.
