The deepest options machinery in the category, and no tax output at all.
TradesViz is the most capable generalist journal here by a distance: 250 plus brokers with 70 plus auto sync, greeks per leg, multi leg naming up to eight legs, payoff diagrams, 600 plus statistics, mobile apps, and seven AI tools. It is the product to beat on breadth and we do not beat it there. What it has never had is a tax form or an interval.
Plus Plaid for 3,000 institutions, MT4 and MT5, cTrader and DAS. Our sync is one broker, IBKR, on your own Flex token.
Delta, theta, rho, vega, gamma, DTE and IV generated per leg, beta weighted portfolio delta, and T+0 against expiration curves.
The only generalist journal in our audit that links an assignment to the underlying position it created.
We have neither a mobile app nor anything like that number of charts, and we are not going to.
No Form 8949, Section 1256 split, wash sale engine or TurboTax export was found on TradesViz after a targeted search. It is a genuine gap in an otherwise very complete product.
Their AI Coach runs 16 to 18 deterministic checks and reports significance on findings; what nobody in the category does is cluster by trading DAY, which is the correction that matters when fifty trades happened on five days.
Cash settled index handling is not documented anywhere on their site, and roll to parent linkage is described but not documented. Ours is the case the product was built around.
They consume broker APIs and expose nothing: no public API, no webhooks, no MCP.

Read from TradesViz's own site and documentation on 2026-09-06. "unclear" means we could not confirm it either way, which is not the same as no.
If you trade several asset classes, want your broker to sync itself, and read your journal on a phone, TradesViz is the better product and it is not close. Come here if what you need out of a journal is a tax return you can hand to a preparer, or a straight answer about whether your numbers mean anything.
Our own prices: the free tool needs no account and no card, Solo is $24 a month, and Desk is $49. What is in each tier.
