FillStub vs Tradervue

The oldest journal here, and the one where expired options are still fixed by hand.

Tradervue has been running since 2011 and is the most established name in the category. For an options trader it is also the most expensive way to get the least: its own help documentation says that expired, exercised and assigned options require MANUAL correction in an Execution Editor, and its most advanced execution feature explicitly excludes options.

What Tradervue does better

A real public REST API, documented since long before this was fashionable

HTTP Basic auth over Trades, Journal, Imports and Users. Ours is an MCP server rather than a CRUD API, which is the better fit for an assistant and the worse fit for a script.

Mentors and mentees, unlimited

Their most distinctive remaining feature, and nothing here competes with it.

Trade sharing with P&L stripped by default

Public shared trade pages and an embeddable widget. We have no sharing surface at all.

Fifteen years of continuity

Founded 2011, acquired by SureSwift Capital in 2020. We shipped in September 2026 and have no track record to point at.

What we do that they do not

Expirations, assignments and exercises are automatic

Tradervue's own help article describes correcting them by hand in the Execution Editor, setting price to zero and editing dates, and that editor is gated to Silver and Gold. This is the exact defect this product was built to remove.

Rolls

No mention of rolls or roll to parent linkage anywhere on their site.

Execution analysis that includes options

Their Exit Analysis is Gold only and its own help page states it covers stock, futures and forex trades only. On the $49.95 tier, options are excluded from the feature the tier exists for.

Tax output, and intervals

Neither exists there. Ours are the two things the tiers are sold on.

Read from Tradervue's own site and documentation on 2026-09-06. "unclear" means we could not confirm it either way, which is not the same as no.

Which one to pick

Choose Tradervue if you need mentorship, public trade sharing, or a scriptable REST API over a mature product. Do not choose it for options: it is the most expensive incumbent for the weakest options support, and that is from its own documentation rather than from our opinion.
